Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in the implementation of dance extracurricular activities in developing students’ character and creativity between SDN Jatikramat 1 and SDN Jatikramat 3. This research employs a qualitative approach with a comparative study design. The subjects of this study include dance extracurricular instructors and students participating in the activities at both schools. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses an interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal significant differences in planning, implementation, and evaluation aspects of dance extracurricular activities. Schools with higher-quality programs demonstrate structured management, varied instructional methods, and adequate facilities and infrastructure. This contributes to improved student creativity, confidence, and character development. In contrast, schools with lower-quality programs tend to face limitations in planning and implementation, resulting in less optimal outcomes. This study recommends improving the management quality of dance extracurricular activities to support holistic student development.
