Nicotine is the primary alkaloid in tobacco, exerting physiological effects on the nervous system and glucose metabolism. Nicotine exposure is known to increase insulin resistance and contribute to impaired blood glucose regulation. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between blood nicotine levels and random blood glucose (RBG) levels among active smokers in the Kedaung Pamulang Complex. The study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. Twenty respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Blood nicotine levels were measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, while RBG levels were determined using the GOD-PAP enzymatic method. Statistical analysis was performed to assess the relationship between blood nicotine levels and random blood glucose levels. The results showed a mean blood nicotine level of 1678.154 and a mean random blood glucose level of 144 mg/dL among active smokers. Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between blood nicotine levels and random blood glucose levels (p=0.031). It is concluded that blood nicotine levels are associated with random blood glucose levels in the study respondents. Further research with a larger sample size and control for confounding factors is required to confirm these findings.
