Design of a Web-Based Village Management Information System for Kertasari Village to Enhance Transparency and Public Service

Abstract

Study aims to design a web-based Village Management Information System for This Kertasari Village to support the digitalization of village administration, improve information transparency, and enhance the quality of public services. The study was motivated by the administrative data management process in Kertasari Village, which was previously conducted manually, potentially resulting in delays in service delivery, recording errors, difficulties in data management, and limited public access to village information. This study employed a system design and development approach by identifying the needs of the Kertasari Village Government and the community as the basis for determining the system features. The designed system provides an integrated platform for managing and presenting village information, including village profiles, government data, village activities, news, and public service information. The results indicate that the web-based information system can support the organization of administrative data and facilitate the delivery of village information in a more structured and accessible manner. The system also provides opportunities to improve information transparency and facilitate public access to service information without requiring residents to visit the village office directly. Therefore, the developed information system can support the digitalization of village administration, information transparency, and improvement of public service quality in Kertasari Village.
