Abstract

Digitalization of the employee information and attendance system is needed to support attendance management, which previously used a fingerprint machine. The existing system at PT Kendi Arindo still has several weaknesses, such as the potential for proxy attendance, delays in data recapitulation, and limited access to information for management. This study aims to develop an employee information and attendance system using a QR Code-based android application that integrates employee data management with centralized attendance recording. The study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The system development method used is design thinking, which consists of the empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages. The application was developed using flutter and firebase with features for employee data management, QR Code generation and scanning, selfie and GPS verification, submission of leave, sick leave, and annual leave requests, request approval, and attendance reports. The system has three user access levels, namely HRD, management, and employees, with functions tailored to each role. Data management is carried out through centralized storage so that employee and attendance information can be managed, searched, and displayed in a more structured manner. The development results in an application that integrates employee information management and attendance into a single digital platform. The developed system is designed as an alternative to support the recording, management, monitoring, and reporting of attendance in a more structured manner at PT Kendi Arindo.
