Anemia among adolescent girls remains a public health concern associated with various factors, including dietary patterns. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between dietary patterns and hemoglobin levels as an indicator of anemia among adolescent girls using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The analysis involved 60 adolescent girls from SMAN 8 Depok and included six dietary pattern constructs: consumption of animal-source foods, plant-source foods, vitamin C sources, regularity of main meals, restriction of iron absorption inhibitors, and restriction of unhealthy snack consumption. Hemoglobin level was used as the endogenous variable. The mean hemoglobin level of the respondents was 12.68 ± 1.50 g/dL. The results showed that the model explained 27.1% of the variance in hemoglobin levels (R² = 0.271). Restriction of unhealthy snack consumption was the only construct that showed a positive and significant relationship with hemoglobin levels (β = 0.316; t = 2.313; p = 0.021). Consumption of animal-source foods (β = 0.244; p = 0.315), plant-source foods (β = 0.045; p = 0.774), vitamin C sources (β = 0.259; p = 0.358), regularity of main meals (β = 0.123; p = 0.355), and restriction of iron absorption inhibitors (β = 0.153; p = 0.301) were not significantly associated with hemoglobin levels. Therefore, anemia prevention interventions among adolescent girls are recommended to include nutrition education and limiting the consumption of unhealthy snacks.
