This study aims to improve the listening skills and Indonesian language learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Kalahien, South Barito, through the application of the reading aloud method. The research was motivated by the low listening skills and learning outcomes of students due to the use of learning methods that are less interesting and do not encourage student activity. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach implemented in three cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that students' listening skills increased from 53.34% in cycle I to 63.84% in cycle II and 76.32% in cycle III. Student learning outcomes also increased, indicated by the percentage of learning completion reaching 90% in cycle III. These findings indicate that the reading aloud method is effective in improving listening skills, activity, and Indonesian language learning outcomes in elementary school students.
