Abstract

Stunting is still one of the public health problems that has an impact on physical growth, cognitive development, and children's quality of life in the future. One of the factors that contribute to the occurrence of stunting is low appetite which causes children's nutritional intake to not be met optimally. Efforts to prevent stunting are not only carried out through improved nutrition, but can also be supported by non-pharmacological approaches such as Tui Na Massage which functions to stimulate the digestive system and increase children's appetite. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres in stunting prevention through Tui Na Massage training in Welahan Wetan Village. The activity will be carried out in 2025 involving 20 posyandu cadres. The methods used include health counseling, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the activity showed an increase in the average knowledge of cadres from 65.2 to 88.7 after training. The skill of cadres in performing stunting massage has also increased from 60% to 90% according to the established procedures. In addition, cadres began to implement and disseminate massage techniques to mothers under five through posyandu activities. This activity is recommended to be carried out on a sustainable basis and expanded to other regions to support the acceleration of reducing stunting rates based on community empowerment.
