The socioeconomic and environmental conditions in riverbank areas, when compared to urban core areas, are often implicitly different, which affects the accessibility and quality of children's education. This study aims to examine in depth the activities of the Sanggar Anak Sungai Deli (SASUDE) community in its contribution to the development of children's education in the Deli Riverbank area. This research was conducted in the context of the gap in access to education influenced by socioeconomic factors, limited facilities, and the lack of formal education services in the area. This research method uses a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation studies are used in this study. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study imply that the Sanggar Anak Sungai Deli (SASUDE) community is effective as a community-based non-formal education in supporting the development of literacy skills, character, and social awareness of children in the Deli Riverbank area and has the potential to be a reference for the development of inclusive education programs. Various activities such as dance, poetry reading, speech practice, public speaking, and learning the Qur'an have a positive impact on the cognitive, addictive, and social development of students. Furthermore, SASUDE's existence also encourages community and parental involvement in supporting children's education. Thus, SASUDE has great potential as an inclusive and sustainable alternative education model. Further research is recommended to examine the role of local governments in supporting non-formal education to improve the quality of the nation's next generation.
