Abstract

Risky behavior among adolescents is increasingly becoming a serious concern in Indonesia due to its impact on the increasing number of unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, and mental health problems. This community service activity aims to empower adolescents by increasing their knowledge about reproductive and mental health to prevent risky behavior. Risky sexual behavior among adolescents in Indonesia is becoming an increasingly pressing issue, particularly related to the high level of premarital sexual behavior. Data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey shows that 1 in 10 adolescent boys engage in this behavior, while the number for adolescent girls, although lower, still shows a concerning upward trend. The activity was conducted at Trisoko High School in East Jakarta with 49 11th grade students as participants. The method included a pre-test, post-test, physical screening (BMI), mental screening using the SRQ-20, and interactive education through group discussions, videos, and leaflets. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge, especially in 11th grade C (+1.16 points). The physical screening found 42.8% of students had abnormal nutritional status, while 28.6% showed mild to moderate emotional symptoms. These findings underscore the importance of sustainable interventions through collaboration between schools, health workers, and educators. This program has proven effective in improving adolescent reproductive and mental health literacy and supporting school-based preventive efforts.
